Nils Gustaf Nordenskiöld in his 1821 publication described the Skogsböle mine area as being in view of the Baltic Sea. (The Finnish word for the Baltic Sea is "Itämerie.".) The original area was a rich source of tin; now it is only used to mine feldspar. This view is northward, taken from the paved road leading to the mine area.
